WAREHOUSE-TRANSPORT SECTOR OR SECTOR OF LOGISTICS
At the company Paloma we acceded in the year 2006 to radical changes in warehouse-transport sector or with other name sector of logistics. The stock of manufactured products has decreased from the average 29 000 pallets in the first half of the year to 21 000 of them in the second half. Due to these results it is foreseen in the next months the reduction of external – rented warehouses. With the construction of manufacturing plant and new warehouse in Šentilj in the year 2007 we therefore want to concentrate the whole stock of manufactured products in three macro locations:
Sladki Vrh
Šentilj and
Ceršak
This will make the storage procedures of semi manufactures (internal scrolls) possible. In the present this kind of storage cannot be performed optimally due to dispersion of the stock and transport ways.
In the year 2006 we made an immense progress in informative technology put into the sales logistics. We tested and implemented new computer software called e-logis in our warehouses of manufactured products. In years to come we have a plan to implement informative technology into internal and purchase logistics. Next year it will be necessary to make cadre renovation in this sector due to unsuitable cadre structure, because there are no true profiles or logistic personnel available. The number of employees or direct transactors personnel in logistical process in distribution centres Sladki Vrh and Šentilj was reduced by 10%. By the same time we managed to integrate in the sector of logistics:
invoice department together with pre determined
activities of house customs examination
car park guardian
manufactured ready made articles salesmen
For the ensuing years our aim is to integrate all merchandise currents and transactors into sector of logistics.
