Trade mark Paloma is present in more than 30 countries all over the Europe. The market is divided into four basic sale areas: domestic and foreign market, which is located in Western, Eastern and Southern Europe. Paloma is mainly Export Corporation with 82% of sales share on export marketplaces.
Domestic Market
Cooperation in the home market takes place with majority of store chains, present on Slovene market. Annual contracts of commercial cooperation are made with all concerns. Sales share in Slovenia in the year 2008 was 18 % of total turnover.
Western European Markets
With sales realization of more than a half of total selling on Western markets belongs to Germany, which is the most important country that Paloma cooperates with. The other significant marketplaces are situated in Austria, Holland, England, France and Switzerland. Sales routes are managed as the direct export to the purchasers. The most profit-making among them are extensive wholesale dealers, with their expanded net of own distribution channels, which lead to major store chains. Collective sales share in Western Europe in the year 2008 comes to 44% of total sales realization.
Eastern European Markets
Represent in export structure the lowest share. The most of export is executed to Hungary and Romania the other markets represent smaller export shares. Sales share in the year 2008 was 15 % of total turnover. Eastern European market represents potential ground for business ahead.
Southern European Market
Southern market was developed in early nineties after collapse of formal Yugoslavia, with Croatia as the major sales market. Here belong also Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro and Macedonia. Sales share in the year 2008 was 23 % of total turnover.
In each country we market our Consumer programme products through the exclusive distributors. Due to the nature of the programme we have chosen the additional distributors for “Away from home” programme products in Croatia and Serbia.
